Patricia Ann Edmondson's Obituary
Patricia “Pat” Ann Edmondson left this world for her Heavenly home on February 2, 2024. She was able to be in her home, surrounded by her three children, while her favorite hymns played as she passed into glory. Pat was born on 05/09/1944 in Bartlesville, OK and left the hospital two days later with her adoptive parents, Ernest and Nancy Randall. She lived in Miami, OK until the second grade when her parents moved to Columbus, KS to farm. She and her parents later moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas when she was in the 8th grade due to drought conditions on the farm. She attended high school in Siloam Springs and made life long friends there. She continued to see her Columbus friends and one of those friends introduced her to Stanley Edmondson. Pat would tell stories of skipping school to go see him in Columbus. On January 20, 1961 she married Stanley and moved back to Columbus for good and remained there until her death. She was a loving mother and wife and devoted her life to her family. Our dad once said that he made the living and mom stayed home and made life worth living. She and Stanley purchased a mini-storage business later in life and thoroughly enjoyed running and expanding that business together. She continued to operate that business until she became ill in May 2023. Pat was active in the church she loved, House of Prayer in Riverton, KS. She helped with church dinners and fund raisers. She and Stanley traveled frequently to Branson, MO and were the best of friends until his death in August of 2020. She also loved traveling and days out with her group of friends, the “Glitzy Girls”. She always said she wasn’t too glitzy but they needed her to balance their bling! She, also, thoroughly enjoyed visiting her great grandchildren which brought her great joy. She loved shopping resale shops and if you were on a trip with her you tried to point out something on the opposite side of the road from Goodwill stores in order not to have to stop. She accepted the Lord as her savior as a very young wife and mother and served him all of her life. She was used by God to lead others to Christ. She lived a simple life she loved…filled with family and faith. She left a strong legacy to her children and grandchildren and you can be sure she was welcomed into Heaven with a “well done though good and faithful servant”, as well as, “it’s about time you get here Patti Woo” from our dad. As those that knew her are well aware…she could be a bit indecisive about most everything… but we are glad she decided to live long enough to spend one more Christmas with family in her home. We will cherish those memories forever.
Pat was proceeded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Stanley Edmondson, and her parents, Ernest and Nancy Randall. She leaves behind her three children, Kim Linebarger (Dan) of Granbury, TX, Karla Line (Garvin) of Columbia, MO, and Derek Edmondson (Sandra) of Columbus, KS, nine grandchildren: Paul, Joel, and Tori Bezinque; Jacob, Travis, and Ethan Line; Drew, Kyle, and Natalie Edmondson; and 7 great grandchildren: Kate, Foster, Kyla, Lane, Brooks, Luke, and a baby boy that will be born in April.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat’s honor to her church, House of Prayer, 6090 SE Highway Alt 69, Riverton, KS. 66770.
