Michael Joseph Davis' Obituary
COLUMBUS, KS – Michael Joseph Davis, 74, of Columbus, died May 3, 2026 at his home.
He was born March 23, 1952 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Joseph G. and Rosemary Sotta Davis. He had resided in Columbus for the past 20 years, graduating from Columbus High School with the class of 1970. He served on active duty in the United States Marine Corp for two years.
Mr. Davis had worked as a plumber and later for Boeing Aircraft and the Coleman Company in Wichita, KS.
He was a member of St, Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the American Legion and the VFW all of Columbus, KS.
Survivors include one brother Steven A. Davis of Columbus, four nieces Ashley Davis, Jill Pool, Megan Riley and Jessica Schneider and one nephew John Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents a brother Tim Davis and a sister Susan Schneider.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Star Cemetery in West Mineral, Kansas with the Rev. Duane Elmore, officiation. Military honors will be given by the Baxter American Legion Post #206. Arrangements are by the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, of Columbus, KS.
