Mary Lou Shaw's Obituary
Mary Lou Shaw, 94, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Via Christi Village.
Mary Lou was born on May 29, 1931, in Marionville, MO, the daughter of Austin H. and Eva Mae (Toney) Garner. She graduated from high school and later dedicated her career as an ER Admission Clerk.
She was married James E. Shaw, who preceded her in death in 2004.
Mary Lou was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Caney and enjoyed spending her time doing genealogy research, knitting, sewing, and crocheting.
She is survived by three daughters; Crystal Hughes (Larry) of AZ, Maggie Hamlin of OK, Sheryl Faucett (Clifford) of Mo,7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include her sister, Martha Rogers (Bud) of TX, and brother, Lee Eric Garner of TX.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and five brothers: Robert, Jack, Richard, Terry, and Joe.
Per Mary Lou’s wishes she will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
