Janet Leigh Dutton died at her home on January 1st, 2022 at the age of 71. Janet was born in Wichita, KS and moved with her husband to Pittsburg, KS in 1972. She worked as a middle school teacher in Liberal, MO until retirement. F Read Obituary
I met Janet while working at the Pittsburg Public Library. I'm sure everybody will agree that she was fun, but what impressed me was how mellow she was. Very little seemed to bother her. Her former students would come in to see her and she remembered everybody. How nice to be able to have a good memory.

Janet was my co-worker, and my friend. My favorite memory is when we went out to the cabin, and we went walking down the freshly mowed path. I looked down and I was covered in chiggars. Janet quickly grabbed hand sanitizer and covered me in it. We laughed so hard. Later at dinner, we realized it didn't help enough. We always had fun. Janet and Rod were two of the good ones.
