Gloria Jean Nahon's Obituary
Gloria Jean Nahon, 90, of Frontenac, KS died Monday, October 4, 2021 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS.
Gloria was born September 21, 1931 in Pittsburg, KS to Frank Sr. and Rena (Righi) Cabodie. She graduated from Frontenac High School in 1949.
On April 4, 1953, Gloria was united in marriage to Marvin Dean Nahon, Sr. in Girard, KS. He preceded her in death in 2017.
Gloria was employed at S.H. Kress, F.W. Woolworth, and the Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company in Pittsburg, KS. Gloria and her husband Marvin were both avid gardeners and were family oriented.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Filby(Kenneth) of Pittsburg, KS and Pamela Trahan (Kenneth) of DeSoto, KS. Daughter-in-law Teresa Nahon of Fulton, KS. Sister Bonnie Beitzinger of Pittsburg, and a brother Frank Cabodie, Sr. (Thelma) of Washington. Grandchildren Melissa McGuire, Brianna Filby, Kevin Filby, Kristi Nahon, Keith Trahan, Kristin Trahan. and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Kenneth Filby, Kevin Filby, Mathew Dickinson, Richard McGuire, Brianna Filby, and Mark Anglen.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rena Cabodie, a stillborn sister, her brother John Cabodie, a sister Darlene Johnson, a son Marvin Nahon Jr. and her granddaughter Jennifer Dickinson.
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, October 8, 2021 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
