Pam Trahan
Thank you Mom for teaching me the proper things to do as I grew up. Life was tough at times but you and Dad took good care of us 3 children. We had everything that a child would want. I remember helping you and Dad in our big garden, watering our flowers in the evening and ironing Dad’s and Kenny’s clothes. I helped cook yellow squash for dinner many of times. We did dishes, I helped you can tomatoes and make jelly. I learned a lot from you to become a housewife when I was 19. You and Dad were there for my children as they grew. You took them in the summers so that they could play with their cousins, learn to swim and get their young driver’s license. You and Dad took Ken and I (as well as our two young children) in when we left Germany and had no home to go to. You allowed us to use you and Dad’s car since ours was being shipped to the U.S. from Germany. Dad and I shoveled 12 inches of snow late one night so that he and I could get to work the next day. Thank you for everything. Wish our lives could have been a bit easier in the mentally capacity. Promises were made that were not followed through. Anyway, I love you. I’ll see you someday (as well as Dad and Marvin Jr).
