Detlef John Jaussaud's Obituary
Detlef John Jaussaud, 76, of Arma, KS, passed away at his residence on December 28, 2024.
Det was born on October 6, 1948, in Yakima, WA, to Victor and Mary (Holm) Jaussaud.
Det proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and later dedicated his career to public service as a corrections officer for Yakima County, where he retired after many years of commitment and hard work.
In April 1972, Det married the love of his life, Nancy Roberts, she preceded him in death.
Det was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loyal member of Bone Creek Gun Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Watkins (Mark) of Pittsburg, KS; three grandchildren, Ashley Watkins, Michaela Watkins, and Matthew Watkins; and five great-grandchildren, Jace, Brielle, Aurora, Ariella, and Adelina. He also leaves behind his siblings, Victor Jaussaud (Ana) of Yakima, WA, Mary Ellis (Larry) of Yakima, WA, and Anita Whitlock of Yakima, WA.
Det was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Nancy.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m, Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the S.E.K. Humane Society. Donations may be mailed or delivered to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Arrangements are under the care of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home & Crematory in Pittsburg, KS.
