Virginia C. Dutton's Obituary
WEIR, KS – Virginia C. Dutton, 85, of Weir, died at 10:32 am, December 23, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, KS
She was born December 28, 1938 in Omaha, Arkansas the daughter of Woodrow W. and Ruth Ann (Dickey) Fitzmaurice.
Virginia took on many jobs the last of which was a caretaker at the home.
Survivors include her husband Larry of the home in Weir, one daughter Kelly Griffith and her husband Stephen of Wichita, one son Kyle Dutton and his wife Jana of Lenexa, two brothers Woodrow Fitzmaurice and his wife Rena of Gladstone, MO, and Jim Fitzmaurice and his wife Pam of Columbia, MO, five grandchildren Preston Griffith of Overland Park, Chandra Thompson and her husband Jordan of Olathe, Chelsea Griffith of Cypress, TX, Tyler Dutton and his wife Jasmine of Drexel, MO, Melissa Dutton of Chanute and six great-grandchildren. A step daughter Elaine Price and her husband Matt of Orlando, Florida, three step sons Clint Lucas of Pittsburg, Bruce Lucas and his wife Marsha of Prospect, Tennessee, and Wayne Lucas and his wife Jodi of Rogers, Arkansas, 16 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents a daughter Monica DuttonHurt, a son Tyler Dutton, two grandsons, Aezra DuttonHurt and Anthm DuttonHurt and step children Joanna and John Holmes.
Memorial services will be 2 pm, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 W. Main St., in Weir, KS with Jim Fitzmaurice, officiating.
