Vi and John forever will be two of the most memorable people in my life! My Vi hugs were just the best, she was always excited to see a friend and give a hug and a kiss.
I loved going with mom to Ascanio's grocery, Vi would let me use the price stamper on cases of canned goods and John and John Jr. showed me how to make sausage back when all of those processes were out in the open and not so restricted. I remember the coolness of the concrete floor on my bare feet and getting a Popsicle to eat while we shopped. It was small town America at it's very finest. Vi and John babysat me some and she would pull a chair up to the sink so I could help with the dishes. They gave me gifts for special occasions and I still have the dresser set from them for one of my graduations. Vi has a very special place in my heart and I will cherish her gift of love always. So sorry to see your Mom's passing.She was one of God's sweetest, caring and loving creatures. That beautiful smile she always had on her face was a wonderful experience to behold!
I have great memories of being at your house on Saturday afternoons, watching baseball on TV and your grandma frying up those pomme fritts for us while we watched
