Vincent Lynn Pentola's Obituary
Vincent Lynn Pentola, age 80, died peacefully at his home on October 31, 2024. Vince was born on June 10, 1944 in Radley, Kansas, to Benne and Glenna Dowty Pentola. He attended Girard High School and graduated in 1962 and married Wilda Meck in 1963. They had two sons, Adam and Brad.
Vince started working in the printing business and in 1978, Vince and four other colleagues founded Perfection Forms, Inc. in Girard.
Vince was a member of the Crestwood Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf. He also enjoyed watching football and was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Benne and Glenna Pentola of Radley and his sister, Janice Evans, of Pittsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Atherton Pentola, of the home in Oronogo, Missouri; his sister, Marsha Palmer (Bob) of Frontenac, his brother, David Pentola (Tonya) of Carthage; and his brother-in-law, John Evans of Pittsburg; his sons Adam Pentola and wife Sharon, of Olathe, Brad Pentola and wife Amy, of Shawnee; his grandsons, Alex Pentola of Olathe, Trevor Pentola and wife, Jillian, of Olathe, Joey Pentola and fiancé, Allison, of Wichita, Anthony Pentola of Shawnee and Sonny Pentola of Shawnee, his great-grandson, Luca Pentola, of Olathe; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Vince is also survived by six step-children who hold Vince in high regard. Vince was very proud of his Italian heritage and rested peacefully knowing that the Pentola name will be carried on for many generations to come.
Vince felt strongly that children should not have to experience cancer so please consider a donation to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital which may be left at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg at 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, Kansas.
