Thersa M. Kavanagh's Obituary
Thersa M. Kavanagh 55, of Joplin, MO died Thursday December 24, 2020 following complications from a
chronic illness.
Thersa was born December 30, 1964 in Ottawa, KS the daughter of Lawrence and Noma (Eppright)
Darrow. She lived in Pittsburg most all her life and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School. She had
recently moved to Joplin to be closer to her grandchildren. Thersa worked as photo retoucher for
Miller’s Professional Imaging for about 10 years but her most cherished job was raising her children.
Thersa was of the Christian Faith and was known as a loving mom and NeNe.
Survivors include her parents of Webb City, MO; daughter Molly Tarwater and husband Trent of Carl
Junction, MO; son Trent Kavanagh of Joplin, MO; siblings Penny Howard and husband Mike of Carl
Junction, MO, Lawrence Darrow and wife Lori of Springfield, MO and Kirk Darrow and wife Stacey of
Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Kaizer, Harper and Kreed Tarwater and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private Graveside Services will be Monday January 4, 2021 at the Weaver Cemetery in Purcell, MO with
Pastor Duane Elmore officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the
form of memorials to the Ronald McDonald House of the Four States. Friends may drop off or mail
memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762. Condolences may be
