Terry Eugene Davis' Obituary
Terry Eugene Davis, 71, of Weir, Kansas, passed away on December 20, 2024, at KU Medical Center. Terry was born on January 1, 1953, to Melvin Davis Sr. and Mildred Hartshorn. He graduated from Liberal High School in Missouri with the Class of 1971.
On December 15, 1995, Terry married the love of his life, Vicki Leist. Together, they shared many cherished memories, including trips to Colorado, and enjoying time at the casino. Terry had a special bond with his beloved dog, Button, and enjoyed hunting, fishing.
He was a Harley-Davidson rider, owning many different motorcycles.
Terry dedicated many years to serving his community as a police officer for the City of Pittsburg.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Vicki, of the home; two daughters, Jeri Colett Ellis (Shawn) of Weir, Kansas, and Jillian McCann (Sam) of Arma, Kansas; two stepdaughters, Paula Hubert (Kevin) of Frontenac, Kansas, and Laura Earl (Jared) of Mindenmines, Missouri; three brothers, Melvin Davis Jr. (Josephine) of Mulberry, Kansas, and Tim Davis and Larry Davis of Arizona. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, Button.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mildred; and two brothers, John and Danny Davis.
Terry’s wishes were to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SEK Humane Society; these may be sent to the funeral home at 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.
