Sutton James Redfern's Obituary
Sutton James Redfern, beloved son of Jamie Coppage and Shane Redfern, was born on August 22, 2025, in Pittsburg, Kansas, and passed into the arms of Jesus on November 19, 2025, surrounded by the profound love of his family.
Though his time on earth was far too brief, Sutton’s life was filled with joy, warmth, and a love that will remain forever. Sutton brought light and happiness into every room. His morning smiles, sweet giggles, and the many adorable facial expressions that were uniquely his could melt the heart of anyone who met him. He loved being close to his family, spending precious time cuddled up with his mom, cheering on OU football with his dad, and listening to the laughter of his big brother, Baker.
Sutton was surrounded every day of his life by family and friends who loved him SO BIG. That love now becomes the legacy he leaves behind - one of pure innocence, joy, and the reminder that even the smallest lives can make the biggest impact.
He is cherished and mourned by his parents, Jamie and Shane; his big brother, Baker; his maternal grandparents, Monica Combs and Jesse Taylor of Nevada, MO, and James Coppage of Stockton, MO; and his paternal grandparents, Corey and Meghan Redfern of Dawsonville, GA, and John and Tressie Gates of Frontenac, KS. Sutton is also loved deeply by his great-grandparents Beth Kissner, Deena Willis, and Sheila Combs; his aunts Taylor Redfern and Ella Redfern; and his uncles Ty Gates and Jacob Gates, along with countless extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A visitation will be held on December 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM, as family and friends gather to honor Sutton’s life, share memories, and surround one another in love.
