Susan Marie Faucett's Obituary
Susan Marie Faucett, age 77, of Frontenac, Kansas passed away at her home following an illness on Monday, May 1, 2023. Susan was born on April 17, 1946 in St. Louis County Missouri and was of the Catholic faith. She graduated from Granite City High School, Illinois in 1964, attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois and moved to the state of Kansas in 1969. Susan was employed by First State Bank in the Trust Department for many years. She also owned and operated East Side Tours in Frontenac, Kansas along with her husband, John Robert Faucett, whom she married on May 4, 1979. Susan loved taking care of her dogs, enjoyed playing Bingo, was an avid bowler and a member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include her sisters Nancy A. Halvachs and husband, Frank, of Granite City, IL and Mary E. Jacobsmeyer and husband, Kevin, of Columbia, IL; step-children Steve E. Faucett and wife, Janet, of Weir, KS, Mike R. Faucett of Frontenac, KS and Rick A. Faucett of Arma, KS; sister-in-laws Patsy Ann Faucett of Frontenac, KS and Debra S. Faucett of Frontenac, KS; nieces Elizabeth Metcalf, Sarah Carpenter and Emily Petry of St. Louis, MO; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Faucett, who died on October 6, 2009; her parents Frank Vesci and Elvera (Kayser) Vesci; and her nephew Shane D. Heth.
Private Graveside Services will be held at Frontenac City Cemetery in Frontenac, KS with Pastor Ben Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the SEK Humane Society. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S.
