Sue D. Naccarato's Obituary
Sue D. Naccarato 68, of Mindenmines, MO died 3:02pm Thursday July 27, 2017 at her home following a long illness.
Sue was born December 5, 1948 in Lamar, MO the daughter of E.L. “Sunny” and Verna Evelyn (Scott) Brummett. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attending Mindenmines Schools through the 8th grade and graduated from Frontenac High School in 1966. On September 2, 1968 Sue married Larry J. Naccarato in Cherokee, KS; he survives at the home. Sue worked in database management and human resources for many years including time at the dental office of Dr. Hough, Kansas Department of Commerce and later Greenbush. Sue was a lifetime member of the Mindenmines Christian Church where her father served as minister. Sue loved music, playing the piano, enjoyed quilting, crafting, creating Christmas stockings, was as an avid reader, a dedicated Sunday School teacher and was known to cherish her son and especially her grandchildren.
Additional survivors include her son Shawn Naccarato and wife Chrissy of Pittsburg, KS; brother Marvin Brummett of Mindenmines, MO; nieces and nephews David Brummett, Linda McKay, Marcille Bonin, and Tim Brummett; sister-in-law Betty Ann Brummett; grandchildren Jude and Norah Naccarato and many other great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Arvin Brummett and one nephew Doug Brummett.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Monday July 31, 2017 at the South Broadway Baptist Church in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Dan Moss, Joel Dermott, Adah Hutchcraft and Fr. Mike Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at the Nashville Cemetery in Nashville, MO. Family will receive friends from 4-5:00pm Sunday July 30, 2017 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS; friends may call after 12:00pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial gifts to the PSU Sue Naccarato Scholarship Fund.
