Stewart D. Sayward's Obituary
Stewart Dylan Sayward 30, of Lenexa, KS passed away 2:33am Monday May 5, 2025 at his home following an illness.
Stewart was born September 2, 1994 in Traverse City, Michigan the son of Stewart Daniel and Patricia Ann (Broome) Muma. Stewart lived in Michigan in his early years before moving to the area. Stewart married Lynda Mae Scott on July 5, 2024 in Joplin, MO; she survives at the home in Weir, KS. Stewart worked for MM Underground installing fiber optic lines. Stewart was of the Christian Faith; he loved video games, piano, poems, shopping, singing and working on cars and trucks.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Ariyanna Scott of Pennsylvania; mother Patricia Muma of North Carolina; siblings Katie Parsons of Pittsburg, KS, Jaymie Smithson and wife Kayla of Pittsburg, KS, Elizabeth Sayward and husband Joshua Walker of Ohio, John Smithson and wife Charlotte of Eldorado Springs, MO, Mark Anthony Smithson of Joplin, MO, Daniel Sayward of Michigan, Dana Struck and husband Joshua of Michigan, Kimberly Smithson of Neosho, MO, Destiny Sayward of Michigan; chosen parents Mark and Reba Smithson of Joplin, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stewart was preceded in death by his daughter Brooklyn; grandma Elsie Nemecek and grandma Mim; and fiancée Jeorgia Cole who died in a car accident that Stewart was in 2023.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Saturday May 10, 2025 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Rev. Mark Smithson officiating. Burial will be at a later private date. Family will receive friends from 9-10:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
