Steven Drew Fox's Obituary
Steven Drew Fox 56, of Opolis, KS died 12:48am Saturday July 2, 2016 at his home following an illness.
Steven was born April 6, 1960 in Girard, KS the son of Jack and Geneva (Threlfall) Fox. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Girard High School. On May 17, 1990 Steven married Luella L. Jones at the Church of Christ in Nevada, MO; she survives at the home. Steven worked for Peerless in Ft. Scott, KS; later for Gary Davenport at S&W Supply and most recently Producer’s COOP Service Station in Girard, KS.
Steven was of the Christian Faith; member of the Girard Masonic Lodge #93; loved working on cars; his beloved animals around the house; fishing and concerts. Steven will be most remembered as a loving and devoted husband, friend and family member and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife; siblings Gary L. Fox and wife Diana of Girard, KS and Cheryl S. Fields of Girard, KS and a niece Julie Armstrong and husband Chad and family of Andover, KS.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Howard A. Fields.
Graveside Services will be 10:00am Thursday July 7, 2016 at the Girard Cemetery in Girard, KS with Pastor Dennis Johnson officiating. Informal visitation will be from 12-6:00pm Wednesday July 6, 2016 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS. E-mail condolences may be left at www.friskelfuneralhome.com.
