Stephen W. Sealey Jr.'s Obituary
Stephen W. Sealey Jr died Nov 10, 2020 at his home from complications of Alpha-1. He was born Aug. 12, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas.
He grew up in Athens, Greece, Tucson, Arizona, Wichita, Kansas and Belton, Missouri before settling in southeast Kansas. He graduated from Pittsburg High School and the Missouri Welding Institute, and worked as a welder before becoming disabled.
He is survived by three children, Adrienne, Jillian and Ian Sealey, and his mother and step-father, Sylvia and Bill Shirley, as well as numerous devoted friends, who helped keep him going.
Steve was very proud of his children and loved them very much. For several years, as his illness progressed, he cared for his children as a single parent. Due to the covid pandemic, no services will be held at this time. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Alpha-1 foundation (https://www.alpha1.org/how-to-help/help-raise-funds/donate/), or plant a tree in his honor.
