Sherry Fernetti Fellhoelter's Obituary
GREAT BEND, KS – Sherry Fernetti Fellhoelter, 81, of Great Bend, KS, died January 21, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living in Great Bend, KS.
She was born September 10, 1937 in Chanute, KS the daughter of Byron R. and Ella Laleta Ashwell Houser. She had been a resident of Pittsburg, Chanute, Colorado Springs, CO and Great Bend, KS. She attended Pittsburg State University for 3 ½ years.
She married Rudy A. Fernetti on January 2, 1966 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2006. She married Lawrence A. “Larry” Fellhoelter on November 13, 2009 in Great Bend, KS, he survives in Great Bend, KS.
Mrs. Fellhoelter worked as a telephone operator for Western Bell and ATT, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend and she enjoyed the Community Concerts in Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband Lawrence A. “Larry” Fellhoelter of Great Bend, one step son Chuck Fellhoelter and his wife Belinda of Great Bend, two step grandchildren Charles Fellhoelter and Chelsea Walecki, two step great grandchildren Boston Walecki and Paisley Walecki .
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Rudy and a brother Ron Houser.
Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, January 24, 2019 at the Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay in Frontenac, KS, with the Rev. Annie Ricker of the Frontenac United Methodist Church, officiating. The family will receive their friends from 10 to 11 am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pat Fellhoelter, Andy Fellhoelter, Chuck Fellhoelter and Charles Fellhoelter. A memorial has been established to Kans for Kids in Hoisington, KS or the Humane Society in Great Bend, KS in care of the funeral home.
