Sherri Gaye Mapes' Obituary
Sherri Gaye Mapes, 73 of Pittsburg, KS died December 29, 2020 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, KS.
She was born September 17, 1947 in San Francisco, CA the daughter of Donald and Billie (Adams) Waddle.
On July 2, 1964 she was united in marriage to Billy Jo Mapes in Pittsburg; he preceded her in death in 2015.
Sherri was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle.
She worked at the Arma Care Center in Bookkeeping for many years.
Survivors include a daughter Patricia Marshall and Cindi Njuguna; a sister Marsha and her husband Merel Rivera along with 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-father Dale Fox, a sister Donna Meckem, husband Billy Jo Mapes and a brother Kevin Fox.
Services will be at a later date.
