Ronald E. Wheelock's Obituary
Ronald E. Wheelock, 75 of Girard, KS died at 9:05 p.m. Monday June 27, 2016 at the Medicalodge Nursing Home in Frontenac, KS.
He was born October 3, 1940 in Oswego, KS the son of Melvin and Grace (McCullough) Wheelock. Ronald was a graduate of Kirksville, MO High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving his country faithfully in the United States Air Force as a Law Enforcement Supervisor for 20 years. Following his retirement from the Air Force Ronald worked for Wells Fargo and Aafes (Army Air Force Exchange Service). Ronald traveled extensively with the Air Force and Aafes. He was a member of the Girard American Legion Post #26. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies and listening to music. Survivors include his ex-wife Carolyn Wheelock of Pittsburg who help provide for his care; a daughter Nicole Reinhard of Germany; step-children Tina Jones of Pittsburg and Jason Parkison of California; 4 Grandchildren-Silas and Lorena Reinhard, Skyler and Logan Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ronald has been taken for cremation. Memorial graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday July 7th at the Oswego Cemetery. Memorials may be made to help the family with final expenses. Memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762.
