Ronald Eugene Sevart's Obituary
Ronald Eugene Sevart, 71, of Girard, KS, passed away on November 17, 2024, at the Homestead Assisted Living Memory Care in Overland Park, Kansas.
He was born on January 3, 1953, in Pittsburg, KS, to Francis Ferdinand and Marjorie Helen (Meisnitzer) Sevart.
Ronald attended Girard High School and went on to graduate from Pittsburg State University’s Vo-Tech program. He was a Kansas Certified Boiler Inspector. Ronald was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Girard, the Knights of Columbus, and numerous steam tractors, and gas engine associations.
For over 45 years, Ronald worked as a machinist for Hix Automation in Pittsburg, KS. He was well known across the nation in the steam engine world.
Ronald is survived by his two sisters, Ramona Swartz (Michael) and Rayma Nesselrode (Jim), and his two nephews, Adam Swartz, Levi Swartz and Grand-Niece Delaney Swartz.
A parish rosary will be recited at 6 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS. Graveside services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Girard City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Girard. Donations may be mailed or delivered to Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. Mckay Frontenac, KS 66763
