Ronald M. Kloer's Obituary
Ronald (Ron) Merle Kloer Sr. 79, passed away Wednesday July 1, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. Ron was born July 25, 1946 to Dennis Kloer and Hazel (Bilbe) Kloer in Clinton, Missouri and raised in Mount Rose Missouri. He met Norma (Bean) Kloer and fell forever in love and moved to Scammon, KS. They were united in marriage July 30, 1966 and were married 60 years.
Ron worked at McNallys in Pittsburg, KS for 35 years where he finally retired. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending anytime he could with his family. He enjoyed driving for Mike Carpino until he couldn’t anymore. If he wasn’t behind a wheel of a vehicle he wasn’t happy about it. He enjoyed going on hunting and fishing trips with his younger brother Kevin and wife Teresa. He was very well loved and cared for anyone and everyone. He had 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ron is survived by his wife Norma Kloer of the home, John Kloer and wife Amanda of the home; Lana Turley and husband Tye of Scammon, KS, Andrew Kloer and wife Kalie of Scammon, KS, Phillip Kloer and wife Kimberly of Arma, KS, Elizabeth Tanner and husband Christopher of Miami, OK, and Matthew Kloer of Scammon, Ks; grandchildren Jenna Sutton, Emma Sutton, River Kloer, Kaiden Turley, Denver Turley, Wyatt Kloer, Owen Kloer, Hadley Kloer, Camden Kloer, Braxton Kloer, Olivia Kloer, Greyson Johnston, Kaylee Tanner and Adalynn Tanner.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Hazel Kloer, brothers Lee, Larry, Kevin and wife Teresa Kloer and special grandson Nathaniel Kloer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Wednesday July 8, 2026 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Columbus, KS with Fr. Christopher Martin as celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery in Scammon, KS. Family will recite the rosary at 6:00pm Tuesday July 7, 2026 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus, KS. Family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 following the rosary. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to St. Bridget’s Catholic Church.
