Ronald Wayne Haney's Obituary
Ronald Wayne Haney 80, of Frontenac, KS passed away 12:28pm Wednesday March 8, 2023 at the Arma Health and Rehab center following an illness.
Ronald was born March 24, 1942 in Pittsburg, KS to Clarence and Leona (Zurek) Haney. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Frontenac High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
On December 3, 1966 Ronald married Toni Gust in Columbus, KS; she preceded him in death on March 22, 2005. Ronald worked for over 30 years at the Hix Corporation in Pittsburg, KS. He was a member of the Frontenac United Methodist Church; he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, mowing lawns, making French Cookies, was a gardener and enjoyed cooking in his free time.
Survivors include his daughter Amanda Haney Roedel of Pittsburg, KS; siblings Janice Crespino and husband Jim of Overland Park, KS and Charles Haney and wife Pam of Poway, CA; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, wife and infant sister Judy Haney.
Memorial Services will be 10:00am Monday March 13, 2023 at the Friskel Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Elmore officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Frontenac City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Harry Hynes Hospice or The Lord’s Diner.
