Robert H. Richardson's Obituary
Robert H. Richardson “Bob” 90, of Pittsburg, KS passed away at 10:05pm Wednesday March 11, 2026 at the Comfort Care Home in Pittsburg, KS following an illness. Bob was born January 13, 1936 in Coffeyville, KS the son of Arthur and Alice (Robinson) Richardson. The family later moved to the Pittsburg and Frontenac community in 1954. As a young man Bob grew up learning carpentry from his father and worked at the bowling alley. He later worked for Quincy Lumber, Menghini Packing House and later Hull and Dillons. Later he went to Foodtown in 1960 working as meat manager until 1998 as it became Ramey Supermarket. Bob retired in January of 1998. After a short retirement he went back to work part-time for Dick Pallucca for 6 years in Frontenac, KS. After his second retirement Bob enjoyed family and friend cruises; lunches with friends and the casino. Bob even enjoyed his last cruise on his 80th birthday always remembering to enjoy life.
Survivors include his former wife Judy Richardson Byrd and their children Bobby(Lisa) Richardson, Jennifer (Gary) Bogle, Leeann (Bruce) Yeo, Jimmy Richardson; stepdaughter Lisa McNamara; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley; brothers Don Richardson, Wayne Richardson; nieces Debbie Richardson and Mary Ann Richardson; son in laws Tim Wheeler and John McNamara.
Graveside Memorial Services for Bob and Shirley Richardson will be 11:00am Saturday April 4, 2026 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Derek Harmon officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for services. A special thanks to the staff that took care of Bob at Comfort Care, Harry Hynes Hospice and Independent Care. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S.
