My husband Bill Parker and Bobby were friends and Bill worked for him part time when we first met and were married. My sister and brother-in-law Donna and Fred Norris (both deceased now) were friends with he and Maxine. I also remember being at the skating rink when I was young and seeing Bobby and Maxine skate together. Bill and I are very sorry for your loss. We were unable to be there as Bill was having surgery at KU Med Ctr on Tuesday. Our prayers are with you all at this time.
There isn't enough room to share all the wonderful memories I have of this special cousin.. I was the first grandchild in this Garner family & Bob was the first grandson..
He spent many hours at our house helping my dad on the farm and of course.. fishing in our pond!! He was one of the most cheerful people I ever knew and always had that smile in spite of many heartaches throughout his life.
One of my favorite memories when Bob was about 13.. Fred and I were married and lived about 8 miles out of town. He loved to ride his bike to our house. It was a beautiful warm day and here he came in his shirtsleeves ...he spent the night and woke up the next morning to 24 inches of beautiful white snow. He stayed another night or two and they went rabbit hunting... I think as the story was repeated through the years the number of rabbits got larger each time .

Too many "cousin" memories to share! All the cousins had a great time at family get togethers! Those will be my memories. I also remember how talented Bobby was on a pair of skates at the roller rink, he was a star!!! He was always so sweet and kind when we were kids. Then we all grew up had our own families, moved to different states and havn't seen each other in a long time. Rest in the arms of Jesus Bobby. Carol Watson Grassi
