Raymond Sickles' Obituary
Raymond Eugene Sickles Sr. 92, formerly of Mapleton, Kansas passed away Thursday October 4, 2018 @ 6:46 PM at Monterey Park Independence, MO.
He was born June 8, 1926 in Richmond, MO. Son of William M. Sickles (Huntsville, MO.), Goldie Huldean Wood (Wellington, MO), Married Peggy Jo Lee of Pittsburg, KS. May 17, 1949 in Clinton, Missouri.
He is survived by 5 children; Raymond E. Jr. (Independence, MO), Debbie L. and husband Richard Chirco II of (Gilbert, AZ.), Donna S. and husband Russell Beal of (Nevada, MO.), Connie J. and husband David May (Garland, KS), Luke L. Sr. and wife Brenda S.C. (Chesapeake, VA), 16 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren, and 21 Great Great Grand Children.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Jo, daughter Kathleen Ann, sons Herman Eugene, Roger LeRoy.
Raymond was a former Construction Contractor/Dairy Farmer.
In his lifetime he resided in Richmond, MO, Excelsior Springs, MO., Riverside, CA., Clinton, MO., DeMoines, IA., Mosby, MO., Pittsburg, KS, Nevada, MO., Altamont, MO., Sacramento, CA., Pinebluff, AR. Chesapeake, VA., Independence, MO. and made his final home in rural Mapleton, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 1 pm at Bath Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Family will receive friends, Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1-3pm.
Memorials may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
