Randy Lee Rakestraw's Obituary
Randy Lee Rakestraw Sr. 60, of Pittsburg, KS died 4:38pm Friday December 9, 2022 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS following an illness.
Randy was born February 17, 1962 in Port Hueneme, CA the son of Carl Lee and Mary Louise (Mitchell) Rakestraw. He graduated Cherokee High School and later joined the United States Army. He worked many years for A1 Heating and Air and later Heckert Construction in Pittsburg, KS. Randy was of the Christian Faith; loved racing cars, building cars, smoking tires, MOKAN and most of all his kids and grandkids.
Survivors include his lifetime partner Kathy O’Connell of Pittsburg, KS; children Randy Lee Rakestraw Jr. of Pittsburg, KS, Christina Seeber and husband Curtis of Galena, KS, April Lloyd of Girard, KS and Scotty Smith of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Tyler Seeber, Mckinzie Seeber, Blayton Seeber, Bryleigh Seeber, Brayden Seeber and Heather Smith; siblings Kenny Rakestraw of Pittsburg, KS, Vickie Rakestraw of Panama City, FL, Steve Rakestraw and wife Shayla of Bela Vista, AR, Tim Rakestraw and wife Amy of Pittsburg, KS, Tina Young of Pittsburg, KS and Dennis Rakestraw and Ann of Pittsburg, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
