Patrick Jay Sponsel's Obituary
Patrick Jay Sponsel, 59, of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday August 24th, 2025.
Patrick was born to Lee and Lorraine Sponsel on March 17th, 1966 in Pleasanton, California.
He was united in marriage to Jamie Sue Chapman on December 5th, 1987. Together they brought two children into the world, Chadd RayLee Sponsel and Chelsea Lorraine Young. Patrick was a grandfather to Isabella Sponsel, Gabriella Sponsel and Chevy Sponsel.
Patrick graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in HVAC. Together with his wife they owned and operated Sponsel's Heating and Cooling and Famous Faces Bar. He was a dedicated business owner who took great pride in his work and was loved by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, two brothers Jeff Sponsel (Becky), Neil Sponsel (Darlene), sister-in-law Jamesina Payton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gary Sponsel and Daryl Sponsel.
There will be a Celebration of Life later in September after the details are finalized.
