Olive N. Short's Obituary
Olive N. Short 87 of Radley died at 5:45am Monday December 1, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin where she had been for about four weeks.
Olive was born June 20, 1933 the daughter of John and Viola (Engle) Hill at Girard. She grew up in Girard and attended Girard schools. She worked all her life. She attended Open Door Fellowship Church of Pittsburg.
Survivors include her Daughter and Son in Law she lived with, two daughters Olive “Kitten Collins of Radley and Kathy Carr of Girard, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dusty Short, one son Johnnie Gene Short, one Granddaughter Annette Jo (Collins) Taylor, and one Grandson in law Edward Taylor.
Visitation will be held Thursday December 17, 2020 from 6-7pm at Open Doors Fellowship Church. A Service will be held Friday December 18, 2020 @ 10A at Open Doors Fellowship Church with Pastor Don Talent officiating, burial following at Girard City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to Open Door Youth Group. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pitts-burg, KS.
