Nellie was like a second mom to me and to my wife. I loved her with all my heart and remember her from the very first time I saw her in the nursing home, taking care of her as best we could, our hearts hurt to find this out. Ms. Nellie was a precious women. I had the pleasure of going to her home with my dear Linda. She always made me feel so welcome. Growing up in Cherokee and returning there for several years as a young adult I had many opportunities to encounter Nellie. She was always friendly and polite. Her smile was beautiful.
