I was saddened to hear of Irene’s passing. Growing up just a block away from the bakery my fondest memories were of Martin and Julia and then Mike and Irene.
Irene’s smile met you as you entered the bakery. My condolences to her children and family.
I always enjoyed seeing Irene walk into the Public Library, I loved her independent spirit. No, she did not need any help but could handle the walker and books on her own. I applauded her and hope when the time comes, I can be that type of person.

Mildred Irene Spritzer, but Irenee to me. Irenee was the most selfless person I've ever known. She cared for others before herself in every situation. She was able to live without judgement of others, and just be there to listen with kindness. Irenee was truly a special person that I can only hope I could gain some of her qualities. I'm sure she wouldn't describe herself as a leader, but with her qualities, she wasn't only a leader, she was a GREAT leader. The qualities of Irenee are referenced many times throughout the new testament by Jesus, and I know she is a very welcomed person into heaven. With much sadness, I offer sincere condolences to the entire family. Thank you Irenee for being the person you were, and I'm better for knowing you.

I met Irene at Girl Scout Day Camp. She was a fun person to work with and always smiling. Her and Mike were hard working and fun. Thinking of her family and may you all treasure your memories.
