Michael Eugene Kerr's Obituary
Michael Eugene Kerr, 67 of Pittsburg, KS passed away on March 12, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on July 10, 1956 in Ft. Scott KS to mother Hattie Gilmore and father Eugene Kerr.
Michael graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1974. He started his career working for Watco in Pittsburg KS and went on to become an Engineer for the Missouri Northern Arkansas Railroad retiring in 2019.
Michael married the love of his life, Carol Kerr on October 15, 1979 in Reno, Nevada. The couple had 4 children, Amile Kerr, wife Jennifer Kerr, Michael Kerr wife, Megan Kerr, Michelle Stockebrand, husband Eric Stockebrand, and Lois Nicole Partridge, husband Dallas Partridge all of Pittsburg, KS and 11 grandchildren.
Michael was a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend.
Michael enjoyed being around family and friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a man of Faith and believed in helping others.
He is survived by his wife Carol Kerr, Brother Keith and Pamela Kerr; sister Susan Hare; sister Artheta Martin, 4 children Amile Kerr, Michael Kerr, Michelle Stockebrand, and Lois Nicole Partridge and 11 grandchildren.
Michael is preceded in death by parents Carl & Hattie Gilmore, Eugene Kerr.
Memorial service for Michael Kerr will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10 a.m at Lighthouse Church in Pittsburg, KS.
Inurnment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS.
Memorial donations can be made in Michael's name to Day Springs Outreach Ministry.
