Marylyn J. Hamblin's Obituary
WEIR, KS – Marylyn J. Hamblin, 80, of Weir, died November 7, 2016 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg.
She was born July 29, 1936 in Carona, KS the daughter of Bennie and Clara Salvino Ferlo. She graduated from West Mineral High School in 1954. She had lived in Weir for the past 54 years, moving from Haysville, KS.
She married Gary L. Hamblin on August 14, 1955 in West Mineral, KS.
Mrs. Hamblin was the cook at Southeast High School in Cherokee for eight years and had also been a homemaker.
She was a member of the Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg. She loved to correspond with friends, loved to cook and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.
Survivors include her husband Gary of the home, two sons Mike Hamblin (Dee Ann) of Weir, Carey Hamblin (Jan) of Sedona, AZ and one daughter Pam Yancey (Ron) of Weir, one brother Paul Ferlo of Weir, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir. Burial of the will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Countryside Christian Church in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at our web site www.bathnaylor.com.
