PITTSBURG, KS – Mary K. York, age 70, of Pittsburg, died June 19, 2026, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
She was born September 25, 1955 in Bruce, Mississippi the daughter of Bobby Junior and Nova Lee Berry Kendall.
She married James York on April 14, 1973 in Bruce, Mississippi. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. York was a homemaker for most of her life.
Membership was held in the Church of God 13th and Tucker St. in Pittsburg.
Survivors include two sons James York Jr and David York both of Pittsburg, one daughter Sylvia York of Banner, Mississippi, one sister Peggy Tucker of Batesville, Mississippi, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two great-grandsons and a son Michael York.
Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg, with Pastor Brian Davis, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Bruce, Mississippi. The family will receive their friends from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the funeral home.
