Mary Beatrice Schneider's Obituary
Mary Beatrice Schneider 85, of Pittsburg, KS died 10:45 am Monday, August 5, 2024 at her home in Pittsburg, KS following an illness.
Mary was born June 19, 1939 in Arcadia, KS. She was the daughter of Jesse W. and Mabel S. (Foulk) Meeks. Mary graduated from Frontenac High School, but also attended school in Pittsburg. In September of 1956, Mary married Ronald W. Schneider at the Crawford County Courthouse; he preceded her in death on February 11, 1991. Mary worked as a CMA at the Golden Living Center for 44 years, retiring in 2020. Mary was of the Christian Faith who loved to take care of her children and the patients that were like family at work.
Survivors include her children Teresa Mahan of Pittsburg, KS, Leanna Anthony of Arma, KS, Mary Pintar and husband Greg of Lenexa, KS and Michael Schneider of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Randy Schneider, Jennifer Fulkerson, Tim Mahan Jr., Jennifer Mahan, Tara Anthony, Pamela Anthony, Danielle Pintar, Hannah Sinclair, Devon Schneider, Emily Schneider; great-grandchildren Tim Mahan III, Andrew Mahan, Layla Mahan and Brayden Fulkerson.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons Donald and Jim Schneider; brothers Clarence, Wesley, George, Bill and Donald Meeks and a great-grand-daughter Lydia Mahan.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS with Pastor Michael Buckamneer officiating. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Asbury, MO. Informal visitation will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. McKay Frontenac, KS 66763. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the American Cancer Society. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Friskel Funeral Home 230 E.
