Mary L. Lindsay's Obituary
Mary L. Lindsay, 84 of Pittsburg, KS died December 13, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg.
She was born February 12, 1941 in Weir, KS the daughter of James H. and Lena M. (Smith) Bevans.
On July 5, 1958 she was united in marriage to Bill Lindsay in Girard, KS; he survives
She worked with her husband in the income tax business as a return checker for many years.
Mary was a creative person. She designed and sewed clothes and costumes for her children and grandchildren.
Additionally, she enjoyed quilting, knitting and creating magnificent holiday yard ornaments. She and her daughter Missi taught porcelain doll-making classes.
Additional survivors include two sons: Mick Lindsay of Pittsburg, Bill (Suzanne) Lindsay of Pittsburg; two daughters: Cathi Lindsay (Steve Gaikowski) of Frontenac, Sherri Lindsay (Scott Henson) of Pittsburg; a sister Geraldine Bevans of Frontenac; a brother: Bill Bevans of Frontenac; along with four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Missi Kelly, two sisters: Barbara Perrigo and Dorothy Byrd and a brother Jim Bevans.
The family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1 pm. Burial will be at a later time at the Highland Park Cemetery. Condolences may be left at https://www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials may be made to SEK Humane Society; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
