Mary Carol (Schirk) Leabo's Obituary
Mary Carol (Schirk) Leabo “Momo” passed away Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on March 11th, 1962 to Louis and Leona (Spielman) Schirk in Pittsburg. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and worked at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center (Later Via Christi) for over 40 years until her retirement in 2021. She married Todd Leabo on September 25th, 1982 in Pittsburg, they divorced after many years of marriage but remained good friends.
“Momo” enjoyed spending time with her family, playing games, and seeing her grandchildren grow up; they meant more to her than anything (her bedroom walls were filled with drawings, paintings, and other items from them). She had a great sense of humor and would often prank her family and friends.
Survivors include: son Craig (wife Jonnie), daughter Cari (husband Austin); brothers Jim, Bob (wife Terry), and Rick; grandchildren Xyler, Ember, and Maycie; fur grandchildren Dozer and Boone. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition, she is survived by her close friend Dawn, whose children; Robin and Danielle (who preceded her in death) and grandchildren Ayden, Micah, Jason, Rylee, Halleli, and Elijah she loved and considered them her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry, and her brother Troy.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Bath Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, August 14th.
Graveside service for family and close friends will be held at Mary’s final resting place Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg on Tuesday, August 15th at 2pm.
