So sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies.
Deep condolences to Denise. Those gorgeous smiles emulating from both you and your Mom are imprinted in me forever. Over many years I kept " running" into your Mom whether in public or countless times at the Registrar window there on the PSU campus. Her kindness and everlasting cheerfulness and helpfulness were always present. I am assured her boundless energy is lighting up Heaven even as she so unselfishly gave of herself on this earth. God bless you Denise and all your family during this period of loss. Your Mom made this world a better place. Peace. Dr. Stan Atkinson
Denise and Family, We were so sorry to hear of your mother's passing, but know that she is smiling down from above, as she was in her prime! She was a great friend to our mom, and I know that they are reunited in Heaven right now. May the Peace that passes all understanding be with you all at this sad time! In His Love, Debby Clugston Johnson and Family

Mrs. Grasso was the smiling face in the principal’s office. She made it a little less intimidating. I will always remember how kind she was.
Oh, Aunt Mary, WHERE do I start? Our family is so small so you were more than an aunt. You did everything for Denise your only baby, and my parents did everything for me. And then there comes Kevin for Denise and Belinda for me. My parents Betty and Johnie Bernardi and you and Ross taught Denise and I everything: love, hard work, fidelity, faith, determination, ethics, hope...and so much more. Denise and I never smoked or did a drug in our lives, and I KNOW that is due to the four of you! I remember weekends where I was supposed to go to bed, and everyone else did. And then "sneakingly" Grandma Bernardi would play pincohle with me late at night, telling me to be quiet or I would wake up my parents. Aunt Mary always knew, but never told. I remember Aunt Mary and my Mom waking up sooooooo early for that BIG sale at that really cool little girls' dress shop in Pittsburg. Denise and I always felt sorry for the other patrons as I am sure Betty and Mary Louise got to the prettiest ones first. I always made straight A's through elementary, middle, high school, and college and so did Denise!!!! Wonder how we learned these values???? HMMMMMMM!!!! Aunt Mary, I love you.......you were sure to send Belinda a card/gift every Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July....EVERYTIME, and she was your grand-niece!!! God has a new angel up there, petite but strong!!! I LOVE YOU! And as Denise said, Betty and Johnie, Ross and Mary.....I know you are up there playing pinochle ALL THE TIME!!!
