Mary Louise Dill's Obituary
Mary Louise Dill, 95, of Neodesha, KS, formally of Columbus, KS, died 3:05 p.m., Wednesday February 1, 2023, at the Morningstar Care Home following an illness.
Mary was born June 8, 1927, in Columbus, KS, to Frank J. and Ida M. (Rogers) Sampica. She later attended and graduated Columbus High School. On August 26, 1945, Mary married Calvin C. Dill in Las Vegas, NV; he preceded her in death on May 6, 2003. Mary worked most of her life as a homemaker, but also worked for the Parsons Kansas School District as a library aide for 15 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Parsons, KS; she enjoyed square dancing, bike riding, but will be most remembered as a dedicated wife and mother.
Survivors include her children Susan Lower of Neodesha, KS, and Cathy Hemmerling of Cripple Creek, CO; grandchildren Carri Howard (James), Chanlynn Allen (Kyle), Kirk Hemmerling, and Erin (Andrew) Higgs; 5 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband and parents.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus, KS. Family will receive friends from 10-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
