Marvin Ernest Stone's Obituary
Marvin Ernest Stone, age 76, of Pittsburg, KS, died on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
He was born on June 14, 1946 in Fredonia, KS, the son of Ray and Opal (James) Stone.
Marvin was a high school graduate from Arma high school class of 1964. He served in the United States Navy as a Flight Crew Ordnance man and served seven tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and worked as a security guard for Superior for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and yard work.
On December of 1966, he was united in marriage to Donna Jean (Maiden name), she preceded him in death.
Survivors include; his son; Phillip Stone of Pittsburg, KS, brother; Treva Stone and wife Gloria of Mulberry, KS, two sisters; Joyce Graves and husband Ronnie of Kansas City, Kansas Judy Roberts and husband Steve of Pensacola, FL, three grandchildren; Rayden Stone, Skylar Stone and Diego Miranda.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS. Graveside memorial services will follow at Fort Scott National Cemetery with Military Honors at 12:30 pm.
