Marilea Brumback's Obituary
Marilea (Wilcox) Brumback, 79, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 5, 2024 at Medicalodge in Columbus after a lengthy illness.
Born February 19, 1945 in Hallowell, Marilea was the daughter of Harvey and Millie (Crain) Wilcox. She attended schools in Columbus and spent her life in the area. She worked many years for Ace Electric and later for the Medicalodge. Marilea liked to be outdoors, enjoyed fishing, and she especially loved her cats. She was a member of First Christian Church of Columbus. Marilea married William (Bill) Brumback August 7, 1962 in Columbus. They later divorced. Together they had one child, Lisa (Brumback) Goben. Marilea was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Williams, and brother Fred Wilcox.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa and husband Ed Goben of Columbus; grandson Brock Goben of New York; granddaughter Keli (Goben) and husband Dale Benedict; and great-grandchildren Aspen, Rowan, and Blaize; sisters Retha Schultz, who devotedly cared for her all of her life and Cora Sue Cook all of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial to follow at Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to First Christian Church of Columbus.
