Margaret S. Woods' Obituary
Margaret S. Woods 71, of Pittsburg, KS died 7:40am Thursday May 4, 2017 at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, KS following an illness.
Margaret was born November 23, 1945 in Baxter Springs, KS the daughter of James Walter and Mildred Marie (Pierce) Woods. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Baxter schools.
In 1960 Margaret married Robert Lee Hensley; they later divorced. In 1968 Margaret married Robert Bolte; they later divorced. Margaret was of the Episcopal Faith; loved the game show Family Feud, the Golden Girls, In the Heat of the Night and fishing in her free time.
Survivors include her children Bob Hensley of Pittsburg, KS, Rick Hensley and wife Kim of Weir, KS, Tammy Wells of Pittsburg, KS, Debbie Harper and husband Karl of Pittsburg, KS, Diane Hensley of Pittsburg, KS and David Bolte of Webb City, MO; siblings Arnola Phillips of Louisburg, KS, Butch Woods and wife Rita of Pittsburg, KS, Brenda Monohon of Pittsburg, KS, Becky Rantz and husband Wylie of Bradley, MI and Steve Woods and wife Kim of Girard, KS; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, son James Henry Hensley, grand-son Kevin Matthew Wells, great-granddaughter Kendra Harper, siblings Jo Jones, Jack Woods, Wanda Hensley, Gene Woods, Jay Woods and Mabel Woods.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Monday May 8, 2017 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Ryan Sumpter officiating. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Frontenac City Cemetery in Frontenac, KS. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Children’s Mercy Hospital.
