Marcia Kaye Moore's Obituary
Marcia Kay (Hoover) Moore, of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away on October 28, 2023 after a battle with an illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in our Lord, Jesus Christ, ultimately gave her peace.
Marcia was born to the late Louis Clark Hoover and Elizabeth (Townsend) Hoover, in Wichita, Kansas on January 9, 1936. She was united in marriage with James Moore on August 9, 1971 in Lebanon, Virginia. Marcia was blessed with a large and loving family.
Marcia embraced her love for the Lord, Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator and with her beloved James once again.
Marcia is survived by her son, Kyle Sayre; her daughters Lynette VonAlt (Gary) of Titusville, FL; Nancy Lara of Loxley, AL; Tammie Rhodes of Titusville, FL; and Jamie Moore (James Murphy) of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, Kent Hoover of California; Nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Moore; her parents; and sisters Betty, Joyce, Barbara and Sandy.
Visitation services will be located at Bath Naylor Funeral Home on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim Sukraw officiating. Marcia will be buried alongside her husband at The Fort Scott National Cemetery, located at 900 E. National Avenue at 12:30 p.m. on November 7, 2023.
The family gratefully declines flowers and donations, but prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted.
