Prayers to Louie's family and friends. If you grew up in the late 60's & early 70's in Noel you were more than friends you were like family. And Louie was my friend. My dad (Caddo Gann) and Blackie used to talk of their younger days and the times they had and knowing each other all their lives. Now I know what they meant. RIP friend.
I met Lou in the summer of 1970, we were playing a gig at the old Shadow Lake in Noel, Mo.It was at that time a teen center, Lou came up during a break and wanted to jam with us, we said sure, he then became a new member of the group. Lou was an exciting musician, such natural talent, and such a fun guy to be with. Lou came across a black cape from somewhere and loved wearing it when performing. One day in my senior year in HS he wore it to my school to promote a dance that we were playing, he went down the hall passing out flyers and passing the cape over kids heads!
