Linda Lou Brumback's Obituary
Linda Lou Brumback 82, of Columbus, KS passed away at 12:24pm Tuesday November 5, 2024 at her home following a short illness.
Linda was born October 12, 1942 in McCune, KS the daughter of David Henry “Jack” and Marjorie Alice (Huff) Huston. She has lived in the Columbus area most of her life and was a graduate of Columbus High School in 1960. On December 31, 1978 Linda married William R. “Bill” Brumback in Columbus, KS; he preceded her in death on October 19, 2000. Linda worked for the Kansas Department of Social Services as an office assistant for 30 years.
Linda loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed her frequent gatherings with the “60s Girls” and her cousins. She loved cooking, enjoyed Bingo outings, and most of all she loved her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include her children Terri Kershaw and husband Colin; Lisa Goben and husband Ed, daughter-in-law Patti Wilcox, sister Marilyn Torchia and husband Mike, all of Columbus, KS; grandchildren Christopher Wilcox (Carrie), Lacy Reeves (Dusty), Joesph Wilcox (Sara), Brock Goben, Keli Benedict (Dale) and Samantha Kershaw, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Wayne Huston and brother George Huston, 2 sons Fredrick Dale Wilcox and Todd Wilcox.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday November 12, 2024 at the Park Cemetery in Columbus, KS with Pastor Cody Bohall officiating. Family will receive friends from 10-10:45am at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus, KS with procession to the cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Methodist Church Food Pantry. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 611 S. East Ave. Columbus, KS 66725. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
