Kenneth A. Thornton's Obituary
Kenneth A. Thornton, 70, of Pittsburg, KS passed away April 4, 2025 at his home following a sudden illness.
He was born November 8, 1954 in Pittsburg, the son of Wallace Roy and Betty Eloise (Fritts) Thornton.
On June 27, 1975 he was united in marriage to Theresa Dingman in Mindenmines, MO; she survives him of the home.
An additional survivors include a son: Matthew Thornton and a daughter Angela Thornton; Sisters: Jacqui Wood, and Cindy Hriber, and a Brother: Kent Thornton & wife Kathy.
Ken worked for the Pittsburg Fire Department and EMS for the City of Pittsburg for many years.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Rev. Dan Moss officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10am until service time.
Burial will follow in the Nashville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Pittsburg Fire Department Charity Fund; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
