We just heard about the passing of Florine the other day at one of many tractor pulls.I wanted to be at the funeral on behalf of the family(Leslie,so sorry to hear about your mother) and we missed it.I met Florine and yes we all knew her husband Kenny many years ago as it was upon my first trip to the little town of Weir.Florine was such a sweet,kind and giving person from the day that she welcomed me into her home.Always smiling with good intentions.She knew me and Leslie was out to have a good time and wanted send her loving,caring,advise with us.Most of time you would find Florine at the bar back then having a great time with her friends.We ran into Florine in and out as the years continued to pass us by,then we finally caught up with each other at the tractor pulls.Florine loved to get out and visit others as she enjoyed watching the tractor pulls.She will be missed by so many.

So very saddened to hear of the passing of Florine. Her family were our neighbors when we moved back to Kansas from Minnesota.
Florine, her brother Wayne (Hink) and my sister were close friends. Me being the little sister, they always kidded around with me.
Florine had a beautiful smile and a contagious laughter the delighted everyone she met! She will be missed.

I have to thank Florine for being born, she induced her cousin ArVilla Geary (my mother) and Sam Hubbard (my father). My father is from Weir and him Florine was fiends, mother would come and spend time with Florine. Back thin were was dances in Weir and Pittsburg. So Florine set up them on a date, and i understand they didn't get along, but mother agreed to have another date. That was in 1958 and they were married in Aug. 2, 1959, and i was born in 1961. Later in life i enjoyed coming to the bar and chewing the fat with her. I believe that running a bar was in her blood because after Florn owned a bar in Pittsburg. She was also a great pool player, not as good as Florn but you didn't play her for money. I Larned how to play pool form her and card games. I'm going to miss her very much she was more of a aunt then a cousin.

Florine, was my Aunt (she married my uncle) my friend,my family. How she put up with my family always amazed me. She was a true heroin and a saint. For a small woman she was; the strongest, bravest, patient, loving, toughest, forgiving (unless you messed with someone she loved) in my family. Thank you honey, for being part of my life. RIP

in honor of Kathryn.

So shocked to hear of Florine's untimely passing. I was aware of her health problems and had talked with her on the phone a short time ago. She and I are first cousins and I have been going through family photos and found several of us and her siblings as little kids. She was also one of the cake/punch servers at my wedding in 1966. Last time we visited we talked about all the many things she had done in her life and what a hard worker she was. She loved the outdoors for sure! Her smile and laugh will be a lasting memory. Florine had an impact on many lives. She had such a good, caring heart and she will be missed.
My sympathy and prayers for peace to her children and grandchildren.
