Kathryn Smith's Obituary
Kathryn Smith, 89, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021.
Kathryn was born April 9, 1932 in Crestline, Kansas to George and Agnes Adele (Bergman) Lawrence. Kathryn lived in the Pittsburg area most of her life.
Kathryn was united in marriage to Clarence Eugene Smith on December 12, 1949 in Arkansas. Together they spent 37 precious years together before his passing.
Kathryn loved working in her garden, doing puzzles and she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she loved attending Ricky Van Shelton Concerts.
Kathryn cherished the time spent and memories created with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Her presence will be missed, but never forgotten.
She is lovingly survived her children, Kenneth Smith (Cindy) Girard, Kansas, Melvin Smith, Pittsburg, Kansas, John Smith (Nancy), Pittsburg, Mike Smith (Christy) Pittsburg, Lisa Smith, Pittsburg, Howard Smith (Machelle), Galena, Kansas; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Pat Miller (Melvin) Opolis, Kansas, well as a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services will be 10 am, Saturday July 31, 2021 at Garden of Memories in Pittsburg, with Pastor Don Talent officiating. Informal viewing will be on Friday from 10am to 5pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers are grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bath Naylor Funeral Home, Pittsburg.
