I was sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. I met Kathy when we were both at the Newman Center and going to PSU. I met her a few times again when she worked at St Johns. She had such a sense of humor and was always laughing. I remember her telling me how she’d pulled her eyelashes out! Laughing as she told me the story—she was using her eyelash curler and forgot and turned her head—pulling out her eyelashes in the process! I loved her sense of humor!
Monica, sending hugs of comfort and peace to you and all of your family.

Breaks my heart to hear of Kathy's passing. Even though I have been back in Texas all these decades after graduating from PHS in '66, I will always remember Kathy being a huge part of the neighborhood sandlot games in Pittsburg in the early 60s. Kathy was one of the sweetest girls I've ever known and she absolutely loved competing against the neighborhood boys in all sports. She was a good left-handed pitcher in wiffleball, too! Such a wonderful, upbeat girl when she was growing up. I knew she would be a success and she was. It was hard finding out about my friend and her cousin Tom McNally's death a few years ago, and now this news, devastating... If you knew Kathy, you loved her.
My condolences to the family for Kathy. She was evening supervisor at St Johns when I worked there. Kathy bailed me out more than once and I loved it when she was on duty. Just a great nurse and she could liven up any situation.
So very sad to learn of Kathy's passing! I worked with Kathy at Freeman for many years. We talked often and she was always happy, had an infectious laugh and I never remember a time when she wasn't smiling! I really missed seeing her when she retired!
Rest in peace Kathy, we all loved you at Freeman!
Kathy was a wonderful, fun loving boss when we worked together at the old St. John's in Joplin. I remember her smile, her humor, but also her dedication to nursing. Even though I haven't seen her in over 20 years, I can still see her smile, hear her voice and remember her laughter. Rest in Peace Kathy.
